A great deal of work and research has gone into getting all of this information onto the website and into the planning of the reunion. Much of the information has come from the Ottawa Room at the Main Branch of the Ottawa Public Library in Ottawa, where references to news articles and dates were found in the Ottawa High School Scrapbook as well as archived copies of Fi Pa Hi, the Fisher yearbook. The Ottawa room has copies of 31 of the 38 yearbooks published by Fisher.


Some of the students of the current Fisher Park school, led by Ann Baycroft, FPHS grad, blow up some of the 1,400 balloons displayed at the reunion in room 221. The room was provided to us courtesy of Trudy Brand-Jacobsen (Principal of the current school) and Steve Guenette (Chief Custodian of the current school).

Most of the articles were obtained from microfiche copies, also at the Ottawa Public Library, and primarily from the Evening Citizen, the Ottawa Citizen and the now-defunct Ottawa Journal. Ottawa Citizen articles since 1985 are available on the Internet via the Canadian NewsStand service offered by ProQuest, for which you need an Ottawa Public Library card.
