In order to keep the
scanned images constant, here are the settings that I am using to
scan the yearbooks. They are good enough to provide high quality
and small enough to be manageable. I am using an HP ScanJet 4070
Photosmart scanner.
Here are the best settings for scanning pages of the yearbooks (per
page setting):
Dimensions: 1500 x 2000 pixels
(7.505 x 10.255 inches)
Pixels per inch: 200 (minimum) to 400 (maximum)
bits per pixel: 8
Max # of colours: 256
Save as (format): JPG or GIF
If you are
able to scan in an entire yearbook, please contact me and let me
know!
PLEASE CONTACT US!
You could scan all the pages at roughly 2000 pixels in height, and
number them 00_cover.jpg all the way to the back cover of the book
(say, 98_back_cover.jpg) and then send the whole scan to me on CDROM.
